Composite Tailors is a team of experts
creating space optical instruments utilizing the unique properties of CFRP and advanced composite materials.
At the "57th Annual Meeting of the Japan Society for Aeronautical and Space Sciences (JSASS)" (held April 15–17, 2026, at Osaka University Hall), we gave a presentation titled "Zero-Thermal-Expansion Telescope for Optical Communications and Optical Satellite Constellations (Ultra-Lightweight Telescope Using CFRP Reflectors)." We continue to press forward with the development of CFRP space telescopes.
We exhibited at Innovation Planet 6 of "JEC World 2026," one of the world's largest composites trade shows, held March 10–12, 2026, at the Paris Nord Villepinte Exhibition Centre in France. Thank you to everyone who visited our booth. We will continue developing and producing CFRP space telescopes.
We presented a special exhibit at the International Frontier Industry Messe, held in Kobe on September 4–5, 2025. Thank you to everyone who visited our booth.
Our exhibit was covered by NHK NEWS, Kobe Shimbun, and The Nikkei. We will continue advancing our technology to bring it to as many people as possible.
In June 2025, with the expansion of our development team, we established a new R&D facility in Kobe, Hyogo Prefecture.
We will continue to devote our full efforts to the development of space telescopes. (Please refer to the Company section for address and contact details.)
Composite Tailors has been selected by JAXA as an implementing organization for the Space Strategic Fund program theme, "Development and Demonstration of Satellite Components for Building a Satellite Supply Chain." We will develop ultra-lightweight CFRP telescopes featuring CFRP primary mirrors, contributing to the growth of the space industry. Please see the JAXA press release for details.
We founded Composite Tailors Co., Ltd. with core members of Techlab Co., Ltd. Drawing on our collective experience, we will pursue the development and manufacture of CFRP space telescopes. We look forward to your continued support.
